CARL CLEVES and PARISSA BOUAS (formerly known as The Hottentots ) join me in the BayFM studio.
Carl and Parissa have been together performing since 1991 and call Byron Bay home. Well known for their global storytelling, highly original compositions and Parissa’s soaring, angelic vocals they were invited to record “Out Of Australia” in Germany on audiophile label Stockfisch Records in SACD. The result is breathtaking sound quality, but it’s the songs themselves, which make this album exceptional.
Following their musical passions has become their way of life. Carl was born Belgium and holds degrees in Law, African Music and Contemporary Composition. His travels are documented in “Tarab – Travels With My Guitar” . Parissa comes from a Greek/Australian background and includes vocal coaching and directing a new Community Choir among her current pursuits.
