Anam - In O

Anam was a band from the Celtic nations playing modern folk in Celtic musical traditions from Ireland, England, Cornwall, Scotland and Nova Scotia.[1] Formed by Brian Ó hEadhra in Dublin in 1992, they made their concert debut at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Lorient, Brittany, where they were awarded the "best band" trophy.[1]

According to the website of founder Brian Ó hEadhra, Anam ceased operations in 2005

Highasakite is an indie pop and indie rock band from Norway. The band formed when vocalist and songwriter Ingrid Helene Håvik met drummer Trond Bersu whilst studying jazz at the Trondheim Jazz Conservatory. In 2010, after just six months, the duo started working on their debut album.

pmxper, the new collaborative record by Pavel Milyakov and Perila, is a trip through someone's uneasy dreams. The duo conjure images of empty landscapes and derelict rooms as seen and heard in great cinema. The guitars reverberate with the flair of film scores such as Neil Young's soundtrack for Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man or Ry Cooder's work in Paris, Texas.

Both artists are extremely prolific. Perila, real name Aleksandra Zakharenko, favors an apprehensive, overcast style of ambient that seethes rather than soothes. She uses her Bandcamp page as a "sonic diary," spontaneously uploading tracks and EPs alongside releases on The Trilogy Tapes and other forward-thinking labels. Milyakov, meanwhile, skips around genres and aliases. His releases from this year include the ambient album project Mirrors and two records as buttechno that range from tech house (Minimal Cuts II) to drum & bass (In Your Head).

Claire Anne Taylor grew up in Tasmania's ancient Tarkine rainforest, where she was born into her Father's hands in the family barn. Taylor and her five siblings were raised in a quaint bush home, rich with creativity and music. During her childhood, the Taylor barn was home to a family of Tasmanian Devils and some say that Taylor developed her unique, raspy singing style from nights spent listening to the devils growling beneath the floorboards. ABC Radio's Joel Rheinberger described Claire Anne Taylor as 'the voice of Tasmania' and it is that voice with its soulful, velvet and world-worn quality that commands audiences to silence.
