Love them or hate them, most of us rely on Online Reviews before making purchases, deciding where to stay, or choosing a place to eat out.
While review platforms like Google, TripAdvisor & others can help us make more informed decisions, they can also seriously harm a small business. But business owners are fighting back by suing reviewers for defamation when they go too far.
This episode explores where the line is between a genuine review and straight-out nasty ones intended to harm, with leading legal academic - Julian Dight , a Teaching Fellow at the UNSW law school.
And give you some tips on how best to handle bad reviews from a local marketing guress, Kadri Kutt , who's a marketer of food and Owner of Byron Foodies Tours . She’s also a Project Manager at Northern Rivers Food and teaches marketing at the Byron Community College.
If you work for yourself or are a small business owner, stay tuned!
